Structured Data

Data organised in a defined format like databases, spreadsheets, or JSON.

Definition

Structured data is information organised according to a predefined schema or format, making it easily searchable and processable by machines. Examples include database tables, spreadsheets, and JSON files. In contrast to unstructured data (like documents and emails), structured data has consistent fields and formats. Document intelligence systems convert unstructured documents into structured data for downstream processing and analysis.
